Psychosocial and Medical Interventions in cases of Online Child Sexual Abuse (OCSA)

This webinar, available both in English and German, provides professionals with a comprehensive introduction to online child sexual abuse (OCSA), its definitions, different forms, and the associated risks of escalation into hands-on sexual abuse.

Participants will gain insight into psychosocial interventions, ranging from trauma-informed care to trauma-sensitive approaches, including the 4Rs model (Realize, Recognize, Respond, Resist re-traumatization). The course emphasizes that every professional working with children affected by (online) sexual abuse should apply a trauma-sensitive perspective in their practice.

In addition, the webinar outlines medical interventions and their indications in cases of OCSA, offering guidance for clinical and interdisciplinary settings.

As part of the training, the video-based AVATAR cases demonstrate trauma-sensitive interactions with children affected by OCSA, providing practical examples of best practices in connection to psychosocial and medical interventions.
