Background
The Barnahus Quality Standards is not just our hero document – it is also the publication which current and aspiring Barnahus from have contributed to and/or are currently implementing.
The Standards contain concrete guidance for child-centred and effective collaboration, along with the legal support and real-life examples for each standard. They are an indispensable tool for building a common understanding around why and how to establish a Barnahus.
Many countries have had success by arranging a series of events to educate and generate dialogue, and using the Standards as their starting point.
Journey through Barnahus
In a series of online meetings, this training walks through all of the Barnahus Quality Standards, with a focus on what practicing in the Barnahus way means for each child.
The training features guest speakers from experts who share how they are applying the standards in their work. Speakers are hand picked depending on the particular needs, interests, and discussions about Barnahus and its adaptation to your country.
Topics include:
- An introduction to the standards, to a broad stakeholder audience, supporting the idea of Barnahus and raising awareness.
- A deeper dive into each of the standards, with the aim of supporting decision-makers and policymakers to use the standards in their work to create an enabling environment for Barnahus.
- Training sessions on thematic areas, diving into a small selection of the standards, geared towards a professional group or a multidisciplinary team.
This training could alternatively be held in person with focus on a few standards, either in combination with a study visit OR a roundtable organised in your country.
